Ruth is an emerging mental health professional currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Social Work at the University of West Florida, where she is enrolled in the advanced standing program and expect to graduate in December. With a strong foundation in social work, having earned a Bachelor’s degree in the same field, Ruth is dedicated to improving the well-being of children, teenagers, and families, particularly those facing trauma.

As a master's level intern, Ruth is deeply passionate about working with adolescents and teenagers, helping them navigate the challenges of their formative years. Ruth is interested in therapies that foster healing and self-awareness, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT).Ruth is driven to help young clients recognize and overcome their trauma, aiming to create a safe, supportive environment where they can express their thoughts and emotions without fear of judgment.

Recognizing the importance of building strong rapport with clients, Ruth strives to be a compassionate and approachable therapist who listens deeply and supports young people through their healing journeys. She is committed to fostering resilience and emotional growth in those they serve, with the ultimate goal of guiding teens and adolescents toward healthier, more fulfilling lives. Ruth is open to working with a diverse range of populations, stepping outside their comfort zone to continue growing as a clinician and expanding their impact on the mental health field.
