    Relational Issues & Infidelity

Being in a relationship can be life-affirming and fulfilling. And, it can be confusing and painful when there's conflict, distress, mistrust, and hurt impacting the relationship. Emotions are not causing the problem; it’s how we react that is the problem. We work with clients to stabilize their situation, reframe the attachment, and practice new, healthier behaviors.

We accomplish these goals by looking at the negative repetitive cycles, directly addressing the root causes and unmet needs, and incorporating ways to overcome these obstacles.

    Trauma

Unfortunately, one of the most common problems we have seen with clients is a hurtful and traumatic experience.

This could be a one-time incident or an ongoing situation. It could have happened in the past or is unfolding currently. These hurts can stay with us and impact our lives in very insidious ways. While we practice trauma-informed care, we are also trained in various specific trauma therapies, such as Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR), Eye Movement Integration (EMI), and Janina Fisher's Healing the Fragmented Self.

These processes help people significantly reduce traumatic anxiety and reactivity from unresolved past events. The end goal is to decrease traumatic reactivity.

    Children & Families

Many of our therapists are skilled in working with children as young as 5 years old, through the teen years. We know that the formative years can be challenging and sometimes children and their parents need extra support.

For our teen clients, we provide a space where they can feel seen and heard in a way that allow them to do the work and reach their goals.

And sometimes families seek healing and growth as a unit. We can provide a safe space to explore family dynamics and promote healing and better communication.

    Healthy Sexuality

You do not have to be in a relationship or have a partner(s) to seek help with sexual issues. Sexual dysfunction can lower self-esteem, create conflict and avoidance with your partner(s), and exasperate feelings of anxiety, depression, fear, shame, and guilt. You can take the first step to be free of negativity and achieving a healthy sexual self.

    Sex Addiction & Partner Recovery

Compulsive problematic sexual behavior can show up in many ways, from pornography use to infidelity. And it can negatively impact many facets of our lives, such as our relationships, finances, and jobs. When you are ready to stop the cycle of pain, we have therapists who can help you on your road to recovery.

And, we also have therapists who are trained in helping partners who are struggling to heal from the trauma of the relational betrayal of their partner’s infidelity. We understand that this is a unique type of trauma that encompasses layers of healing.
